Talent Competition The talent competition was held on at the Luis Vigoreaux studio in Guaynabo. The winner of the competition was Miss Vieques Carla Tricoli. Preliminary Competition The preliminary competition took place at the Pier 10 Arena on Saturday, September 7th. Some idelegates that caught the press eyes that night were: San Juan, Barceloneta, Toa Alta, Vieques and Santa Isabel. Among them should be the next Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2003. Final Competition The final competition took place at the Bellas Artes Theater in San Juan. The twelve semifinalists were: Humacao, San German, Santa Isabel, San Juan, Vieques, Toa Alta, Barranquitas, Santurce, Ponce, Mayaguez, Dorado and Rio Grande. The fact that impressed this year was the fit the delegates were in the swimsuit competition and that no delegate had a bad answer for any of the questions. It was a tough year for the judges, and for viewers at home. The top three were: Barranquitas (2nd RU), San Juan (1st RU) and Vieques (Winner).
